Meet your therapist....

Hello! I'm Jess. I work with adults and couples to help break free from painful emotional and relational patterns—especially those shaped by past trauma. These patterns often show up in ways that quietly erode trust, connection, and communication, even when we don’t realize it.

My approach is to provide a safe, warm, and collaborative space where you feel seen, heard, and supported. I meet you where you are and offer both body and mind based tools to help bring relief, deepen insight, and foster lasting change. My goal is to equip you with the clarity, confidence, and connection you need to move forward.
If you’d like to learn more about how I work and the background that informs my care, I invite you to read more here.

What makes my approach unique
What sets my approach apart is the integration of clinical expertise, lived experience, and a whole-person perspective rooted in compassion and clarity.

I began my professional journey in the U.S. Coast Guard, where I learned the deep value of service, leadership, community, and resilience. After retiring, I shifted paths—but not direction—and became a trauma-informed therapist. What began as a personal mission has grown into a professional calling: to help people shift from a life ruled by trauma toward one rooted in resilience, healing, and growth. I'm especially drawn to the science of how we recover—exploring the neuroscience of trauma, the pathways to post-traumatic growth, and equipping people not just to survive hardship, but to truly thrive beyond it.
My work is grounded in specialized training that allows me to offer truly integrative care—addressing not just emotional health, but also how trauma, stress, immune function, nutrition, and nervous system regulation affect overall well-being. I take an approach that looks beyond symptoms to understand the full picture of your life and offer both relief and long-term change. Personally, I’ve experienced many of the transitions and complexities that come with midlife. From navigating a challenging divorce and blending a family with adult children, coping with family loss, supporting aging parents, and managing chronic health and immune challenges—these lived experiences deepen my empathy and inform the grounded, practical support I offer.

Values
I value all people, all genders, and all relationships as equally worthy of respect, kindness, and thoughtful, experienced therapeutic care. You are welcome here, just as you are.
My work is built on creating a space that feels safe, inclusive, and supportive—where you can feel both heard and empowered.
I believe trauma survivors—even those who feel broken—aren’t broken. With the right support, healing and transformation are absolutely possible.

A Little About Me
Like many of my clients, I’ve lived through hard seasons—childhood trauma, assault, divorce, and the emotional toll that comes with long-term health struggles. These experiences have shaped my values and deepened my empathy. They also guide the nonjudgmental, grounded environment I strive to offer in every session.
I share a full and lively home with my husband, our blended family, and our two beloved pups—Lola and Stevie Nix. Life in our household is filled with love, support, humor, and connection.
When I’m not working with clients, I enjoy kayaking, swimming, traveling, music, learning new things, and sharing a good laugh. I believe healing doesn’t always have to be heavy—and that connection, compassion, and humor are vital parts of the process.

My Commitment To You
At the heart of my work is deep respect for your story—and a strong belief that healing is absolutely possible. Whether you’re seeking therapy for yourself or your relationship, you don’t have to stay stuck. Together, we can create the change you’re longing for. Life is waiting. Let's start your next chapter.
